All hats are hand blocked, painted, engraved and designed by Jennie Hayes using both traditional and non-traditional millinery methods.
The hat capelines used in the process are merino wool, rabbit or beaver fur felt. Other materials used in abundance are silk, bone, leather, feather, oil paint, mica, plant materia and various vintage oddities.
Custom orders are created as unique talismans. The natal astrology of the wearer is considered as is the timing of the hat's creation. Symbols and images are embedded in the hat to invoke certain planetary and energetic qualities. A custom order includes a 30 minute astrological consultation.
FOR ALL CUSTOMS:
You must first purchase via the Shop your Custom Hat option in Merino Wool Felt or Beaver/Rabbit Felt. Fur felt hats are water naturally resistant.
